 Harry van Wingerden was born and  educated in The Netherlands. His parents owned and operated a greenhouse  specialized in tomatoes and peppers, which he later owned with his 2  brothers. After 16 years of operating the greenhouse, Harry, Miranda,  his wife, and his 2 children immigrated to Canada in 2000. For his first  year in Canada, Harry was production manager at Suntastic Hothouse in  Exeter Ontario. Starting in the growing season of 2001, Harry began H.  van Wingerden Greenhouse Consulting Inc (HvW Consulting). Over the  years, he has developed a great network and gained a lot of valuable  experience with Hydroponic tomatoes, peppers and cucumbers, giving him  the ability to provide valuable advice.
